As some of you know, I spend much of my time writing, singing or getting other people to sing songs. The central picture above (by Paul Harris) is me leading a song of mine at Camp Plas in Wales on a singing retreat run by my friend Roxane Smith. (The first image is dawn at Unicorn camp and the third is evening at Camp Plas). In the last few years, I have leaned hard in to the absolute pure joy and emotional connection of acappella singing, even more than I had done previously.

I've run acappella choirs for 18 years but only recently have a ventured in to writing songs for choirs and leading workshops teaching those songs. My friend Rosie Sleightholme and I have been co-facilitating some beautiful workshops in Birmingham and Bristol over the last few months and will be leading our first weekend singing retreat in Mid-Wales at Camp Plas from 27th-29th September 2024 ... there are a handful of spaces left if you're interested in joining us.

I've also shared the creative joy of writing acappella songs with other people over the last year or so, including the song Anchor which I co-wrote with Ali Burns & Quin, and which I led in a performance at Unicorn Voice Camp 2023.
I'll be teaching at Unicorn again this year and I'll definitely be teaching this one I think.
